VeryDarkman said Peter chose the right moment to share his side of the story because his brothers are currently involved in court proceedings and may be unable to respond publicly without risking contempt of court.
He alleged that Peter had previously made several claims about his brothers during their conversations. According to VeryDarkman, Peter once made a statement that gave him the impression that Jude Okoye wanted to have an affair with his wife, Lola.
He also claimed Peter told him about alleged CCTV footage involving Paul Okoye and a house help, which Peter allegedly said was discovered by Paul’s wife.
VeryDarkman further alleged that Peter once told him he had “lifted the curse” after Jude welcomed a son.
The activist also claimed that Peter had privately approached several celebrities in Abuja and Lagos before publicly telling his side of the Psquare dispute, allegedly seeking their sympathy and support.
“He met the people that have a strong platform. Told them this story one on one. He made sure he won their sympathy, won their conscience, then looked for a perfect time to come and tell the story,” he said.
VeryDarkman accused Peter of attempting to manipulate public opinion, pointing to his social media activities following his court appearance and his alleged promotion of his music after releasing videos about the dispute.
He also questioned Peter’s claim that Jude was preventing him from performing Psquare songs, arguing that Peter had previously stated that the brothers had agreed not to perform Psquare songs after embarking on their separate solo careers.
Describing Peter’s approach as “manipulation and fake cry,” VeryDarkman concluded: “Now that everything has cooled down, I’m back.”
